It’s every parent’s nightmare. John was only 16 when he was in an automobile accident that left him in a coma for several weeks. His parents David and Kathleen feared the worst, but were very thankful when they were able to bring John home. The accident had left him, however, with a severe traumatic brain injury. His recovery wasn’t easy. John had to relearn everything, moving his limbs, eating, talking, and even using the restroom.
